Hello again my friends--inspired by other blogs such as the one my Son and lovely daughter in law write http://jessicaandarthur.blogspot.com/2011/06/alive-jessica-and-arthur.html?showComment=1307650978237#c7607888757065102405 and my mom's (can't find it right now, I will post it later). Still working on my dissertation, but have hit a lot of health problems. I am therefore trying to get a medical leave during the summer, to help me get on top of my health, R&R, and catch up with life & my family.

And thus it begins...

Yes, I have indeed started a Blogette--come into my diner and sit down, order pancakes or pie, bring a good book or a friend you can steal french fries from. Who I am...many hats I wear. I am firstly a wife of 30 years to an eccentric, but good man; a daughter of God and Donna Glee Reim+ Robert Frank Harvey; an older sister; and a mother of four grown or nearly there children.

I am also a scholar, working on my doctorate in Instructional Design for Online Learning. I waited many years to go back to school after getting my B.A. in painting and Drawing from UCSC because I did not want to leave my kids to travel who knows where for a degree. Online learning changed that, so in 2006 I earned my masters in Curriculum and Instruction with Technology with Grand Canyon University, and all I did for that degree counted for my degree with Capella University.

In my life I have been a cook, writer, teacher, waitress, art conservator, cub scout leader and camper, and artist. These are all who I am still, even though that phase of my life has passed they remain with me.
